International Development

We work with universities from across the world and have an extensive partnership network. The partnership institutions we work with are carefully selected based on their academic excellence.

Our International Development team is committed to the development of global partnership activities and growing international activity. We see working in partnership as a two-way collaborative process, offering mutual benefits such as the enhancement of global experiences.

We are always actively seeking to develop globally and collaborate with institutions in new markets, therefore we welcome informal, exploratory discussions.

How to become a partner

We are looking to work with partners whose strategic aims are aligned with our international strategy.

If you choose to work with us, our International Development team is able to assist you throughout the lifecycle of the partnership, providing end-to-end management and operational support during implementation. Our team acts as a dedicated point of contact between our academic staff and professional services divisions to provide you with a seamless and professional service.

We develop and maintain institutional partnerships by:

  1. Opening and managing international university campus branches. Find out more information about our Hong Kong and Berlin campuses.
  2. Drawing up international collaborative as well as progression and articulation agreements with our international partners.
  3. Developing and running study abroad programmes and bespoke international professional training programmes.
  4. Coordinating visits to and from partner institutions.
  5. Providing ongoing international policy updates, including training and consultancy services on UK quality assurance and internationalisation.

Powerful connections

Our track record of excellence in learning and development has helped us establish worldwide connections within the legal services market. This is why many leading global law firms work exclusively with us to develop their people and legal employers of all types want to meet our students. It’s why law schools and professional bodies around the world choose to enter into strategic alliances with us.

Strong global impact

Our strong global impact is a result of our extensive external networks, partnerships with leading universities and our staff, students and alumni.

Focused on Employability

We focus exclusively on practice-based training and give students access to our expert Careers and Employability service database as soon as they accept a place with us.

The Most Experienced Lecturers

Over 250 of our lecturers are qualified lawyers and business professionals, and all have extensive practical experience which they are able to pass on to our students. We facilitate this process with high levels of student-to-lecturer contact time and small class sizes - one of the reasons that many firms insist their trainees study with us.

On boarding process

As we receive a wide range of requests to establish higher education partnerships, an initial assessment of the viability of any given proposal occurs to ensure the proposition meets our strategic objectives.

Following the assessment, a process of due diligence occurs related to the proposed partnership, the nature of which is determined by the UK Quality Code. All UK higher education institutions are required to follow this process in accordance with the UK Quality Code for Higher Education which is established by the national Quality Assurance Agency.

Due diligence documentation is then reviewed by the required university committees for approval.

The duration of our internal processes will vary depending on the nature of the collaboration. Please contact us at [email protected] if you want to discuss this process in more detail.
