How does it work?
To receive our discount, simply apply for your course of interest. When you accept your place, the £250 deposit will be automatically waived, and the remaining value of the discount will be applied against your course fee.
For example, if you studied our BSc in Criminology and decided to study our MSc Psychology course, you’ll be eligible to receive our Academic Master’s Alumni Discount. This discount has a total value of £1000. This means, upon accepting your place to study, your £250 deposit will be waived, and you’ll receive £750 off your course fee.
For the SQE Prep Alumni Discount and the US Bar Prep Alumni Discount, the £250 discount will be applied against your course fee when you book on our eStore.
What is the Early Bird Alumni Discount?
If you accept your place on your second course with us at least six months prior to the course start date, you will be eligible to receive an additional £250 discount, as part of our Early Bird offer.
For example, if you studied our LLB in Law and decided to study our Bar Practice Course (BPC), you’ll be eligible to receive our General Alumni Discount. This discount has a total value of £500. If you apply and accept your place on the course at least six months before your BPC starts, you’ll receive an additional £250 off your course fee, giving you a total discount value of £750. This means, upon accepting your place to study, your £250 deposit will be waived, and you’ll receive £500 off your course fee.
Can I use multiple discounts together?
The Early Bird Alumni Discount can be used in conjunction with our General Alumni Discount or Academic Master’s Alumni Discount.
The following courses do not qualify for the Early Bird Alumni Discount:
- SQE Law Essentials
- SQE1 Preparation Course
- SQE1 Exam Preparation Course
- SQE2 Preparation Course
- SQE2 Exam Preparation Course
- PCLL Conversion Examinations Preparatory Course (PPC)
- Professional Development Courses
- US Bar Preparation Course
Are part-time courses eligible?
Yes. To find out which courses are eligible please see the Terms and Conditions.
Can I use my discount with a scholarship?
The Academic Master’s Alumni Discount is not to be combined with any other promotional offer or offer of reimbursement, rebate, scholarship, award, bursary, discount, or credit offered by the University for any course or any other University courses. In these circumstances, you will be asked to choose whether you would prefer to receive the relevant Award or the Academic Master’s Alumni Discount.
Are partially sponsored students eligible?
If only part of your second course tuition fee is paid by a sponsoring employer direct to the University, you are not considered to be a “sponsored student”, so can receive the discount.
What happens if I decide to defer?
If you defer your place on your second course once and for one academic year, you will continue to be eligible for the Alumni Discount.
The discount hasn't been applied on my account?
The Alumni award is automatically applied in systems where it recognises the COLID from a previous enrolled application. The award may not be applied automatically if you are using different contact details on your application. If you contact Admissions, they are able to override this and manually apply the award.
