We continue to support your career even after your course finishes. You can continue to access the following range of services:

Hundreds of vacancies on our exclusive database, where every month we post opportunities for trainees, paralegals and much more. Register to receive notifications to ensure you do not miss out on your next opportunity.
One-to-one career support from our expert careers team – we specialise in early career advice, but you can continue to access this support for as long as you need – whether it’s application help, interview preparation or to discuss your career direction. Check you are registered on the Employability Portal and book an appointment.
Careers resources and materials – you continue to have access to a host of resources, hosted on the Employability Portal, ELITE and the web – available for you, 24 hours a day.

Limitations to alumni support

We are here to support you in achieving your ambitions, but there are some restrictions on how we can help those who have finished studying:

Access to online systems and platforms may be restricted by limitations beyond our control. For example, access to our pages on ELITE is currently limited to 3 years post-course for most former students.
Alumni are not eligible to participate in our mentoring scheme but are encouraged to join the University’s alumni network to connect with thousands of other graduates.
Alumni cannot participate in our pro bono projects (unless volunteering as qualified lawyers), but we do provide information on legal charities and groups with which you may be able to volunteer.
If you undertake further studies at another provider – on a course comparable to a course run at the University of Law – you will no longer be able to access one-to-one support from advisers at ULaw.
Our focus, and expertise, is directed at helping graduates get their first professional level jobs. Supporting senior promotions and hires requires different expertise and a different skill set, so occasionally we may point you in the direction of others who we feel would be better placed to help.

Support our pro bono activities – if you are in practice, we’d love your help!
